Welcome...

Welcome fellow thrifters, crafters, hunters, pickers and the like. This is a new outlet for me as I venture in to a new chapter in my life. After running my own consignment and thrift store for many years, I am hanging up the brick and mortar storefront. From now on all of my creations will be shared here on this blog or through my Facebook page Facebook.com/niecysattic. I hope to show you some of my work and some tutorials will follow. Thank you so much for stopping by and hope to hear from you as you explore Niecybugs' Creations.
When you find a creation that you can't live without, remember I do accept Paypal and can ship within the U.S.. Please visit my online site at http://niecysattic.weebly.com/
Why Niecybug?
Many years ago my parents gave me the nickname Niecybug.  I really disliked it for so many years. I have come to accept and even embrace this name. Thanks to my wonderful parents and step-parents. Without all of you I would not be who I am today.

Old Sewing Cabinet Re-do

This was an old sewing cabinet that was painted and repainted and partially stripped and then painted with a hideous orange. I chalk painted over all that mess, distressed and then stenciled with words and an image. This was such a pretty piece in person. It was a lot of work, but well worth it. SOLD.

Scrap Hearts

What to do with all that scrap. I took some leftovers and sewed a smaller piece to the front then made a small cut in the back and added stuffing. Then just glued another scrap over the hole. Add a little sparkle with odd jewelry, buttons or pearls. Simple. Use for a small pin cushion or just to look pretty in a basket. There are also fabric flowers in this basket. Flowers and hearts are $1.99 each.

Garden Bling

These are the garden mushrooms found on Pinterest. Put them in your garden for a touch of whimsy and sparkle. $3.50 each.

Adorable Pink Bench

I took one of those ugly wood benches and gave it a coat of girly pink paint and then applied some appliques  of dragon flies and flowers. This is available at Lot 2540 in Madison. I believe it is only $29.

These are some of the custom jars that I have created. All of these have sold, but I will have more coming. $4 each.
 "He's All Boy"
Original art work by Niecy.
This is perfect for a baby shower gift or to hang in a boys room. Many things from childhoods past.
Only $15

Boot lamps and door stops anyone?

Some time ago I acquired many left boots. I pondered what to do these lone treasures. These were beautiful all leather boots and I hated to just trash them. For a while they just sat in the back room in trash bags. Then one day I thought...LAMPS...DOORSTOPS....YES. So I got our the plaster of paris and enlisted the help of  a drill and the rest is lamp history. Now I sell these on a regular basis and folks love them. I am about to start making some more. I have a couple of really cool Jack Daniels boots that are on their way to being lamps. If you are interested let me know. The lamps range from $12 for a child size night light to $45 for a full size lamp.

So much left after the closing of the store.

Have you ever had to move and then you see things that you forgot you had, or things start to multiply? Yep, I know your pain. We had hoped that a lot more would have sold before we had to be out of the building, but. alas it is not to happen. So if you are looking for something, we may have it. Send me a message on the Facebook page or here and I will let you know if it is among the vast sea of stuff we have. Thank you so much to all of the people of Mayodan (excluding the town manager) for your patronage.

Make your fish feel like royalty.
Super easy re-do for a Beta or Goldfish. Take any fish bowl and use E600 to glue it on a beautiful candle holder. Your fish will feel like royalty.
So, this is the last month that The Attic Consignment will be around. I will dearly miss all of the fun times I have had as I worked tirelessly to find things that my customers wanted. It has been quite a journey for the last 6+ years. From a small beginning to 2000 sq. ft. of merchandise. I am, however, excited to see what the next chapter will bring.
Thank you so much to all of my wonderful followers through the years. All of those that have come and gone. You will be missed.
I will be posting on this blog and will still continue to maintain the Facebook page as well. You will have the opportunity to purchase my Niecy Bug's Creations from either page. That is one part of me that I will continue. Creativity can not be shut off. So, see you and hear from you soon, I hope.
